I ordered the Executive Fifth-Wheel King Pin Box (Torsion-Flex) after doing a lot of online research. Torsion-Flex axles have been around for quite some time and I felt much better about that type of a set up compared to an airbag with a shock by other manufacturers. With the Gen-Y product, I will be able to just hook up and drive! When calling Gen-Y with a few questions before ordering, their customer service is “excellent” and answered all of my questions. This pinbox is by far one of the best improvements that I have made to my toyhauler. You can see it cushioning the ride as you go done the road. No airbag to leak or trying to find the correct air pressure. Just hook up and go. The best part is that it not at its max capacity to start. With the heavy toyhaulers I was concerned with the pinbox being rated right at the max trailer capacity and it being too easy to over load the trailer. The Gen-Y Executive Fifth King Pin Box is designed and built heavy duty. Glad I went this route.

Used only once but a much improved ride. Looked at air ride hitches but this is so much better. No need for air supply, hitch and go. I DO wish there was a little (in 1/2 inch drop on the tongue from the bolts. Mine will not go to the highest setting. Might be the trailer build but I am running a bit nose high with hitch as low as it goes and hitch as high as possible. Just have to deal with it. It’s not too bad.

This pin box is a game changer! We’ve had really bad porpousing issues due to being maxed out on the truck… Every time we hit the bridge expansion joints I have to hit the trailer brakes to level us out…. I was skeptical of whether this would help. After installing it we took out our Keystone Laredo 285sbh for a test drive and WOW!. Wife and I looked at each other after purposely hitting some large bumps that would normally send us bouncing…. Everything stayed completely calm and no bouncing! It seems like someone just muted the bumbs!
FYI, this will make you nose high if you were already in the highest position before… Example… Same bolt location will put the pin down almost 4″! I am in the process of upgrading the suspension to raise the rv up a few inches and we’ll be level again.
If you are on the fence on getting this… You won’t regret it!

Got the Executive 5th Wheel King Pin Box hitch. ordering was quick and easy and delivery was much quicker than I thought it would be. They even attached the capture plate I ordered for me before shipping. It was actually easier to install than it was to remove the original Lippert pin box. An extra set of hands would be nice but I was able to do the removal and install by myself in just a couple hours with the use of a couple jacks and the bed of my truck. Haven’t use the setup yet but I’m sure it’ll be a vast improvement of the the old solid pin box.

Update on our GH-8051! Well, after delivery, I installed your 8051 on our Sandpiper 3440BH. On July 2nd our family was off to Mt. Rushmore and then Yellowstone. We towed our rig over 2700 miles in 12 days. What a wonderful trip.
Those miles weren’t traveled over silky smooth roads; quite the contrary. The roads in Wyoming and Colorado were horrible. Your kingpin was the saving grace! Some roads were under construction and otherwise in dangerous disrepair. The GH-8051 stabilized our rig and allowed for maximum vehicle braking and maneuvering. It’s difficult to articulate how well your kingpin performed.
Another thing; before we installed the 8051, we would open the trailer after a long trip to find the contents strewn about. After installation, even traveling over some of the worst roads we’ve ever pulled on, when we opened our trailer, nothing had moved and nothing was damaged. Amazing!
We were so impressed with the GH-8051, that when we returned home I purchased a Gen Y Glyder hitch to pull our boat. I’m not surprised, the experience pulling our boat has mirrored the 8051 experience.
