I am currently using two traditional (“loose”) reducer sleeves in order fit a 3″ opening to a 2″ post. Would you recommend using two Gen-Y “bolt-on” sleeves as a better alternative to my two “loose” sleeves? Thank you
Yes, you can use (2) Bolt-On Reducer Sleeves! It will drastically reduce the play/movement compared to the standard reducer sleeves you’re using.
Quality of the products are top notch. Very heavy duty and solid. Can’t wait to put it to use! Was the last part missing.
Thank you, Mark! We really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review on this!
Great
Purchased this reducer sleeve from 3″ to 2 1/2 inch. The idea is great however the small set screws won’t stay in place as designed. The movement of the trailer and hitch always make it fall off when removing the hitch. Not really a huge deal, but I try to remove the hitch when not in use (torsion hitch $$) so it doesn’t get stolen. Was also told this would take up some slack on my hitch to reduce noise but it’s not really any better than the factory reducer that came with the truck. Suggestion. Make your torsion hitches in a 3 inch so we don’t need this part.
Trevor, thank you for reaching out to us! We are thinking that you need to tighten the set screws more, as this is not something that should occur with this product.
