It uses a 2 5/16 inch SnapLatch coupler, a self-latching design GEN-Y built to give a secure connection every time you hook up.
This is a static hitch, meaning it doesn't include torsion suspension like GEN-Y's Torsion-Flex gooseneck couplers, it's a fixed connection built for raw towing capacity. It comes in three configurations: standard, rated for 30,000 pounds towing and 8,500 pounds tongue weight; a 6 inch offset, rated for 25,000 pounds towing and 6,000 pounds tongue weight; and a 9 inch offset, rated for 21,000 pounds towing and 5,000 pounds tongue weight. The offset versions move the coupling point to help clear obstructions in the truck bed.
