Actual towing capacity is limited by the lowest-rated component in the full towing setup, meaning your vehicle's receiver rating and hitch ball rating both need to meet or exceed what you're pulling, not just the hitch itself.

This version uses a 2" shank, sized to fit standard 2" vehicle receivers. GEN-Y sells the MEGA-DUTY line in other capacities (16K, 21K, 32K) that may use different shank sizes, so if 10,000 lbs isn't enough for your setup, check the higher-capacity versions before assuming a different shank is needed.

A stabilizer kit is recommended for drop settings between 12.5" and 15", and it's included automatically for any drop size above 15". For drops under 12.5", it's not required.
